Brussels-Charleroi Airport (CRL): Passenger Terminal Extension

Located in the city of Charleroi, Brussels South International Airport is the second busiest airport in Belgium, now serving over 7.5 million passengers. One Works was appointed for the layout and architectural design of the extension to the main passenger terminal building to host a series lounges for a range of low-cost airlines and flights.

Simplicity and efficiency informed the design to allow for the smooth flow of passengers. The long and low building enables passengers to board their flights efficiently with a design that has enabled future expansions, including adding new levels and strengthening the main structure.
