One Works appointed by the Italian Civil Aviation Authority to conduct a comprehensive analysis on Italian infrastructures and facilities, including a wide range assessment for air traffic within small, medium, and large airports, roads and rail accessibility, as well as available areas in the surrounding territories that couple be considered for future expansion and development opportunities.
The Master Plan defines a clear-cut strategy to provide capacity and adequate levels of service to meet the nation’s forecasted traffic needs by 2030, promoting intermodality, environmental sustainability and private investments.
The Scope of Services covered the analysis of 47 Italian airports, concerning their existing and future air traffic capacity. A comparison made with each one’s territorial potentialities, expressed by the traffic flow expected, made it possible to verify coherence with each developing master plan’s provisions, the levels of accessibility, and connections to the other modes of transport.
