Following the inauguration of the Passenger Terminal refurbishment and extension (Lotto 1) of Venice Marco Polo Airport, One Works was appointed to continue the design of Lotto 2B – expansion of the airside capacity and facilities, as part of the airports wider Masterplan project now under construction.
Now complete, the first phase of works of the new airside extension has provided 3,500 sqm of new large and comfortable spaces to accommodate the strong growth in Extra Schengen passengers, which today accounts for 32% of the total traffic travelling through the airport.
The main constituent elements of the extension project are:

In the interiors, graphics and decoration symbolically recall the voyage of Marco Polo, the places seen and the route followed”
