Casa Broggi Office Refurbishment

Feasibility for the sensitive redevelopment of a prominent office building – called Casa Broggi – in the heart of the city to host a new coworking space of the american company wework.

The design unifies two wings to achieve one unit space and introduces new sustainability features for the building, including a redeveloped plant system. A large glass cover will be introduced to create a main courtyard and more public spaces for the buildings occupants, whilst optimizing the use of natural light throughout the building. The new cover will also act as a greenhouse for the direct exploitation of solar energy and a natural ventilation system for passive cooling.

In addition to improving access to the offices through the new glass atrium, the refurbishment was also designed to maximise the areas dedicated to commerce and increase the habitable space by 10%.
