This seaside Hotel is located in the Eastern part of the Algerian coastline, on an unbuilt peninsula close to the Tunisian border. The site lays on a unique raised natural platform overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, 5km north of the city center.
The new hotel will include 150 rooms plus a series of selected facilities: swimming pools, restaurants, cafes, spa, gym and parking areas. Each side of the new building offers a specific ‘view value’ either facing the sea, luxurious gardens or the swimming pools area.
The hotel main feature is represented by huge private balconies which will act like additional open-air rooms. Framed glazed ceramic elements, reinterpreting local construction techniques, will guarantee shading and privacy, providing at the same time a characterizing Mediterranean, elegant, sober and vibrant façade design.
The design proposed a rather compact building block to guarantee greater efficiency in both construction costs management and energy consumption across the buildings lifetime.
