Carbonera Hotel and Country Club

Following PGA’s Masterplan for a new resort to be developed on the northern shores of Cuba, on the Caribbean Sea, three architectural firms were appointed to design the lodging facilities; Conran Design the villas, Rafael de la Hoz Architects the apartments, and One Works the central premises including a 200 room hotel.

One Works design concentrated on the central open spaces and plaza defined by the hotel, restaurants and an open-air shopping arcade. The plaza faces the sea and defines the core of the development. Local character and contemporary architecture are blended together to produce a genuine sense of place.
