Cotton Club Sardinia

The Cotton Club Sardinia, recently redesigned by One Works, now boasts a refined yet organic aesthetic that seamlessly blends natural materials, sustainable landscaping, luxury into eco-conscious design. Serving as a model for future beach clubs in the area, it demonstrates a deep commitment to ecological considerations. The previous state of the club was severely compromised, negatively impacting the surrounding landscape of significant natural value. The redesign aimed to restore and enhance the area by rehabilitating the existing structures without consuming additional land, instead introducing new plantings aligned with local species. 

At the heart of the Cotton Club’s redesign is a strong commitment to sustainability and the preservation of Sardinia’s natural beauty. A key feature is the organic appearance of the new structures, which blend harmoniously with the coastal landscape by ensuring that materials reflect the textures and colors of the surrounding environment. These thoughtful choices create an authentic and unobtrusive experience for guests, offering a sense of space that feels deeply connected to the local terrain. 

One Works has taken great care to enhance the native vegetation and protect the region’s rich local biodiversity. Existing plant life, particularly the resilient local flora, has been preserved and woven into the design. The new plantation has been carefully selected to match the native species, requiring minimal intervention and aligning with the character of the area. 

1. Pool and beach area design
   The redesign of the pool area is a standout element of the project. The traditional sharp lines of the original pools have been replaced with the organic-shaped basin that mirrors the natural curves of the Sardinian coastline. Using a combination of local stones, aggregates, and resin, the pool blends into their surroundings, minimizing the visual impacts of man-made structures, ensuring the club feels like an extension of the coastline.
2. Luxury interiors in harmony with nature
   The interiors of the bar and restaurant have been designed to reflect the club’s premium status, featuring high-quality materials, elegant furnishings and carefully selected finishes. However, the design remains respectful of its surroundings, emphasising natural integration. 
3. Landscaping and outdoor integration
   The landscape design incorporates lush gardens and thoughtfully arranged pool and beach access points. A sustainable irrigation system ensures minimal water waste, aligning with the project’s environmentally conscious ethos. The new beach access offers a balance of privacy and functionality, integrating naturally into the coastline without disturbing the serene atmosphere.
