Officina: Interior Concept & Product Design Debut at MDW26

31 March 2026

At Milano Design Week 2026, Oneworks officially presented Officina, the first tangible expression of our Interior Concept & Product Design Division. It embodies the natural evolution of our multidisciplinary approach towards a fully integrated design platform.

This is not an extension of services, but a shift in perspective. Architecture becomes a generative matrix for systems that connect space and product, including furniture, lighting, technical elements and spatial devices, all conceived as part of one coherent ecosystem. Through this approach, Oneworks is able to oversee the entire creative process.

The division is led by architect Andrea Sanguineti, whose international experience includes product development for leading brands such as Artemide, Poltrona Frau Group and Alias. His work combines design culture, material research and industrial innovation, shaping the Division as an ongoing laboratory where technology, sustainability and typological experimentation converge into essential, modular systems.

More than an exhibition, Officina is an open laboratory that makes the co-design process visible between Oneworks and a network of partner companies. Hosted at Oneworks’ headquarters in Milan, the products are displayed on a temporary architectural setup built from reused industrial materials. In line with a circular design approach, the installation is dismantled and repurposed at the end of the event.

The division’s first year of activity has focused on spaces of transit, including airports, stations, plazas, waterfronts, parks and commercial environments, where mobility, waiting and interaction intersect. The outcome is not a collection of isolated objects, but integrated systems of lighting, seating, shelter and shared infrastructure. Conceived as lightweight, modular solutions, they organise complex environments with flexibility and clarity.

Light Sail, developed with Ideolux tracks and Bencore panels, reimagines light as an architectural element rather than a simple service.
Produced in collaboration with Look Into Nature, Tsuki Hana reimagines Japanese Igusa, the traditional material of tatami mats, translating its natural breathability, acoustic comfort and tactile qualities into a contemporary solution for hybrid hospitality environments.
Sofstone is a seating collection inspired by water-shaped pebbles, translating natural softness into ergonomic forms. Developed with Billiani, it combines wood craftsmanship with lightweight structures and durable materials. The system adapts to hospitality environments, offering intuitive comfort and flexible configurations.
Voyager Nest, developed by Nalesso, addresses the changing needs of contemporary travellers through a new approach to seating design.
Stream 928 is a modular seating system for hospitality environments, combining durability, comfort and a refined aesthetic. Developed with Manfredi, its smooth curves, controlled volumes and high-performance materials create a seating solution designed for intensive use and long-term performance.
Architectural Skin redefines surfaces as adaptive systems where stone, metal, light and water converge. Combining Nero Sicilia’s textured stone, Astec’s modular metal profiles, Viabizzuno’s integrated lighting and Cropelli’s water systems, the project reconfigures walls as dynamic architectural elements.
Lithos integrates furniture directly into the paving through a modular system of recycled Lecce stone. Benches, planters and urban elements emerge from the ground itself, creating a continuous architectural language while promoting material efficiency, durability and the reuse of stone waste.
Urban Grid is a modular aluminium infrastructure for contemporary public spaces. Designed as a self-supporting system, it integrates shading, lighting and energy devices into a flexible framework that can be easily assembled, reconfigured and reused.
Developed with Florim, Parametric Tile applies algorithmically generated textures to ceramic surfaces, enhancing light control, performance and architectural expression.
OW-Link combines sculptural seating volumes with a lightweight metal structure, creating a modular system for contemporary public spaces. Designed with Haute&Craft for durability and comfort, it adapts to different urban contexts while fostering social interaction.
Building on the Coco benches developed for the CityLife project in Milan, Line by Lab23 transforms urban furniture into a continuous system for organizing public space. Its fluid geometry integrates seating, edges and barriers into a flexible infrastructure designed for durability and evolving patterns of use.
Developed with Beblaze, BE_MESH integrates structure and light into a single modular system. By transforming the structural grid into a luminous infrastructure, it creates flexible environments where lighting supports orientation, spatial clarity and continuous reconfiguration.
Kyoto is a modular seating collection that combines generous comfort with a clear structural expression. Developed by Modonutti, the design draws on the brand’s vintage-inspired aesthetic while embracing a flexible, contemporary approach.
Jali, developed with Gonzato Group, reinterprets Islamic geometries through parametric design, creating architectural screens that filter light and redefine transparency across façades, interiors and public spaces.
Petales, developed with Viabizzuno, explores lighting as a flexible system inspired by vegetal structures. Modular diffusers create immersive atmospheres, making the project an adaptable solution for transitional spaces such as lounges and galleries.
