For the very first time, our team came together from different offices in one of the most influential places for our practice, the Biennale of Architecture in Venice, where we joined forces with our partner in the initiative, L&L Luce&Light.
It was a day dedicated to discovery, exchange and connection. The programme began with a workshop led by our Associate Director, Francesca Pintus, and Researcher, Chiara Nifosì from Politecnico di Milano on ‘Ports as Shared Spaces’. The workshop was conceived in direct relation to our project for the Ports of Genoa, which is currently featured in the Italian Pavilion under the theme Terræ Aquæ. Italy and the Intelligence of the Sea. Using the Genoa ports system as a case study, the session explored how waterfronts can become active urban spaces, closely connected to both the city and the surrounding territory.
The experience continued with a convivial lunch and a visit to the Arsenale, where we shared not only ideas but also the joy of being together, building bonds that will further strengthen our daily collaboration. Immersed in the Biennale’s focus on material technologies and AI, we engaged with themes that are already reshaping the future of architecture.
The day concluded with a hands-on workshop at the Giardini della Marinaressa, where, together with L&L Luce&Light, we experimented with their products and explored how light can transform façades, pavilions and experiences.
More than just a day of inspiration and experimentation, Venice offered us the invaluable joy of coming together as a team in a place that speaks deeply to our work and vision.
As part of Fuorisalone 2025, we had the pleasure of presenting ‘Magma: At the Origins of Creativity’, an immersive installation created in collaboration with Whitby Wood.
